·The Whole Shabang·
Bombas makes the most comfortable socks in the history of feet. Their mission is to help support the homeless community and to bring awareness to an under-publicized problem in the United States.
“It may seem like a small thing, but having clean, dry socks
provides a very basic level of comfort to an underserved community
that deserves to have a little more comfort in their lives.”
Bombas has over 2,500 Giving Partners across all 50 states that help them distribute the donated clothes to their communities
In 2013 founders Randy Goldberg and David Heath started Bombas after learning that socks are the #1 requested clothing items in homeless shelters. With a goal to make an impact on their own community they have since expanded this mission across all 50 states. Bombas now makes shirts and sweatpants too and carries along the same philosophy of thoughtful giving towards each clothing item made, no matter what it is, one purchased = one donated.
“As we grow, our giving and community efforts
will continue to grow right alongside us.”
Two years of research and development led to seven material improvements to the design performance and comfort of the everyday sock. The donated socks have all the comfort and technology improvements found in the consumer sock in addition to tailored features to meet homeless needs such as increased durability.
The name ‘Bombas” is derived from the Latin word for bumblebee
“They're small, but their combined actions have a big impact on the world.
We like that. That's why our mantra is bee better.”
Bombas is a brand that reminds us all that little improvements can add up to make a big difference. When you choose Bombas you can trust that your purchase went towards directly helping someone in need.
