Why My Dog is Better at Life Than Me

I would be a lucky Bitch if I enjoyed anything as much as my dog, Goose enjoys running after a ball & bringing it back. Honestly we all could learn something from they way Goose lives his life:
He doesn’t see color
Pun intended (lol). Yes literally he does not see color but figuratively he doesn’t either. Goose also doesn’t ‘see’ size, shape, education level, income or any other ‘labels’ we all like to use for ourselves & others, no! He sees people for who they are on the inside & loves them unconditionally.
He doesn't compare himself to other dogs
Goose is 100% unapologetically himself. He doesn’t think about sleeping on a Tempur-Pedic bed, being more of a blonde gold rather than burnt gold or how much he weighs compared to the greyhound down the street.
He forgives himself
Goose leaves his mistakes in the past without a second thought. He does not keep reliving & punishing himself for bad choices he’s made. He learns the lesson (most of the time), forgives himself, & goes back to being happy af.
He takes risks for what he wants
He runs past me & jumps in the car when he wants to go with, he takes food off the counter when he thinks I’m not looking, he drops the ball in my cereal when he wants to play fetch. The Bitch takes risks & ends up getting what he wants a lot of the time. As my fortune from a cookie once said, “if you are afraid to shake the dice you will never throw a six.”
He is grateful & mindful.
Goose lives everyday like it is the last & best day of his life. He takes everything I give him with a smile. When he is finished eating he always comes over & licks me to say thank you. He is mindful he lives in the moment & doesn’t worry about what is coming next, he is excited for what is happening right now & cherishes every moment.
